This policy emphasises our corporate social responsibility principles and the importance and priority of the issue for the management, employees and all our stakeholders.

As a part of its core values and principles, CAGLAYAN REFRIGERATION accepts acting with social responsibility awareness in all its activities as one of the basic and unchangeable elements of its management approach.

In this context, our basic principles that we take as basis in our Social Responsibility practices are as follows;

CAGLAYAN REFRIGERATION Social Responsibility Principles

1.Human Rights

We respect human rights. We are against forced labour and human trafficking. We treat everyone equally and fairly. We are sensitive to the cultures of Turkey and act in accordance with all legal regulations.

We do not accept discrimination among employees within the company based on language, race, colour, gender, political opinion, belief, religion, sect, age, physical disability and similar reasons.

As a company, we believe that all our employees have the right to work in a healthy and safe environment in working conditions suitable for human dignity. Our employees are our most valuable asset and ensuring and protecting the safety of our employees is our top priority business goal.

We believe that our human resources are the most important element of sustainable growth. We ensure that the personal rights of our employees are used fully and correctly. We approach employees honestly and fairly, and commit to a non-discriminatory, safe and healthy working environment.

2. Working Conditions

2.a. Prevention of Child Labour

Child labour cannot be employed at any stage of production. Enterprises must comply with the age limit stipulated by ILO practice on child labour. This age limit should not be below the age reached by the child at the end of the compulsory education period and in no case below the age of 15.

Child labour and young workers are not employed throughout our enterprise

2.b. Human and Labour Rights

Wages and social benefits should be determined in accordance with the basic principles applicable to minimum wages, overtime and legally mandated social benefits. The actual working time is 9 hours. Overtime must be worked only when voluntary and the employee is entitled to 2 days holiday after 5 consecutive working days.

Working hours cannot exceed 9 hours a day and 11 hours with overtime.

2.c. Right to Work Freely

Forced labour or compulsory labour is prohibited. Employees have the right to terminate the Labour Contract within an appropriate time frame, stipulating the periods defined by law.

2.d. Occupational Health and Safety

The organisation ensures the safety and protects the health of employees at work at least within the framework of the law and strives for continuous improvement for the improvement of the work environment.
Considering the working conditions, protective equipment is delivered to the employees.

Along with the orientation process, Occupational Health and Safety trainings are given and subjected to exams.
Personnel are not allowed to work alone without gaining competence in machines.

In warehouses, products are stacked in accordance with stacking rules.
Heavy objects are worked in accordance with the lifting rules.
Periodic maintenance of the machines is carried out.
Periodic checks of fire extinguishers and equipment are carried out.
Periodic checks and maintenance of electrical installations, lifting equipment, transport vehicles are carried out.

The health checks of the personnel who start work are carried out and they are examined by the workplace physician and if they are suitable, they are employed.
Health checks of the personnel are carried out at least once every 3 years.
Visitors are given a brochure with general health and safety rules and kkd equipment is delivered and taken into the company.

Work accidents are reported to the Ministry of Labour in accordance with the legal process.
Near-miss forms are filled in when necessary and precautions are taken to prevent work accidents.
MSDS Cards of the chemicals used in the company are hung in the places where the chemical is used and the personnel are informed.
Emergency teams are established within the company and training is given to the teams (Fire, Evacuation Team, etc.).
Unauthorised persons are not allowed to perform maintenance and repairs.

It is ensured that fire extinguishers and emergency exit doors are always open and available.
The rules within the company are explained to the employees and they are notified that they must comply with these rules in return for a signed report.

2.f. Training and Career Development

CAGLAYAN REFRIGERATION  Management, which attaches great importance to its employees, creates the personal and professional trainings needed to ensure the development of the competencies required by the demands of the employees and the position in line with an annual plan.

At the end of the internal and external trainings held on a yearly basis, continuous improvement is aimed in training organisations by taking into account the evaluations of our participants regarding the trainings.

Compulsory vocational trainings are determined through training needs analyses conducted according to working standards and are organised through accredited institutions.

3.Work Ethics

3.a. Fight against Corruption

The highest level of integrity is expected in all business activities and relationships. All forms of corruption, bribery, blackmail and abuse are strictly prohibited.

CAGLAYAN REFRIGERATION  will not tolerate the exchange of money and gifts to influence the behaviour of another person, organisation, politician, government employee or office for commercial or personal benefit. It will not allow bribery even in countries where bribery is tolerated.

3.b. Prohibition of Discrimination

It is forbidden to discriminate against employees in any form. This includes disadvantaging people because of their gender, race, social group, sexual orientation, colour, disability, affiliation, political opinion, origin, religion, age, pregnancy.

4.Environment

We manage the environmental impacts that may arise from all our activities with a sense of responsibility. Our company is obliged to determine and implement all kinds of improvement and development activities that will minimise the environmental impacts of its activities at a level appropriate to its fields of activity. Our company has ‘ISO 14001 Environmental Management System’.

CAGLAYAN REFRIGERATION  aims to continuously improve with an effective environmental management system by providing the necessary technical, financial and human resources to achieve its environmental principles and targets at every stage of raw material selection, production and service activities.

We expect our company to implement the best environmental solutions beyond legal obligations and to support any initiative that will help the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies and raise environmental awareness.

Responsibility and Implementation

All our managers and employees are responsible for corporate social responsibility practices throughout our company.

CAGLAYAN REFRIGERATION  employees or business partners are obliged to report any behaviour they know or suspect that violates this regulation to official reporting channels. CAGLAYAN REFRIGERATION  prohibits retaliation against anyone who reports any violation.
